The Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the French Republic and the Principality of Monaco, Fahad bin Maiouf Al-Ruwaili, held a reception on the occasion of Foundation Day, attended by the Kingdom's Permanent Delegate to UNESCO, Saudi attachés, directors of technical offices in France, and a number of embassy members. The event was also attended by a group of French officials, parliament members, accredited ambassadors to France, permanent delegates to UNESCO, representatives of civil society organizations, religious figures, eminent personalities, intellectuals, and media professionals.
Ambassador Al-Ruwaili opened the ceremony with a speech in which he noted what the Day of Foundation represents in terms of pride and honor. The Kingdom continues its journey, which has lasted for more than three centuries, towards development, stability, and welfare, while adhering to its roots, culture, and rich history. Ambassador Al-Ruwaili touched on the wide renaissance that the Kingdom is experiencing under Vision 2030, its prominent presence on the international stage, and its active role in promoting international peace and security, resolving disputes through dialogue and peaceful means, and collaborating towards security, stability, and development. He praised the remarkable advancement in the cooperative and friendly relations with the French Republic, and the strategic partnership frameworks that link the two countries in various fields, for the mutual interest of both countries and their friendly peoples.
The attendees expressed their gratitude and best wishes to the Kingdom, both government and people, on this occasion. The ceremony included serving some coffee and Saudi dates, along with traditional dishes, musical and artistic performances, and exhibitions of models showcasing the Kingdom's heritage and traditional artifacts.
